San Antonio River Walk

Sightseeing, shopping, food and fun. All on a world-renowned 15-mile urban waterway. The River Walk, or Paseo del Rio, is a San Antonio treasure and the largest urban ecosystem in the nation. Tucked quietly below street level and only steps from the Alamo, it provides a serene and pleasant way to navigate the city. THE ALAMO

Centrally located on Alamo Plaza in downtown San Antonio, the Alamo features interactive tours and exhibits and hosts reenactments of the Texas Revolution. THE PEARL

Local flavor since 1883. Located just north of downtown San Antonio, The Pearl provides a unique experience as a top culinary and cultural destination. The mixed-use space features retail, dining, picturesque green spaces, award-winning Hotel Emma, and the third campus of The Culinary Institute of America. As a former brewery operating from 1883 to 2001, The Pearl reflects a vivid past while embracing the future. SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS

Plan your visit. Explore the Missions along the River Walk’s Mission Reach, an eight-mile stretch with recreational trails, pedestrian bridges, pavilions, and portals to four Spanish colonial missions—Concepción, San José, San Juan and Espada. Visit the park’s visitor’s center at Mission San José to catch a rotating film, “Gente de Razon,” to brush up on the Mission’s rich history. What’s more, all four mission churches still boast active Catholic parishes that hold regular services. All churches are open to visitors during regular park hours. SEAWORLD & AQUATICA SAN ANTONIO

Splash at the water park, scream on thrilling park rides, and admire marine life spectacles all at one park, SeaWorld San Antonio. Family fun, thrilling rides, sensational shows and up-close animal encounters give visitors a variety of activities to fill your day with family fun. The park’s newest thrill, Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster, launches riders on an exciting adventure as they join the SeaWorld Rescue Team in their quest to help an animal in danger. Guests should also make time for animal shows with interactive audience participation, family-friendly fair rides, and immersive water park and marine life encounters at the park’s water park component, Aquatica.

You’ll find favorite friends in the Rose Garden and encounter tropical selections in the exhibit rooms of the Lucile Halsell Conservatory along with many other botanical sites throughout our 38 acres. Visitors and Texas natives alike will enjoy the Texas Native Trail that showcases the diverse regions that make up the second largest state of the United States. I

The bird watch structure has benches for comfort and special viewing portals for birding. You might see some of our frequent feathered guests including the Painted Bunting, Black-chinned Hummingbird or the Purple Martin. Enjoy your visit.

THE WITTE MUSEUM

Nature, science, and culture meet at The Witte Museum. Massive exhibits of dinosaurs, People of the Pecos and Texas Wild, and other rotating exhibits fill the recently renovated space with history, storytelling, and interactive, family-friendly fun. Located on the banks of the San Antonio River, the museum’s backdrop is picturesque and ideal for small and large events alike. A catalyst of the Broadway Cultural Corridor, the museum is a San Antonio arts and culture staple with a 300-year old history that contributes to the city’s rich cultural legacy.
